Now, and now IX

Now, and now IX
Now, and now is a series of ten large-scale photographs made in the South Downs National Park, Sussex, between 2022 and 2025.
Created under the specific conditions of overcast skies and high winds, the images are meditative explorations of place, temporality and abstraction.
The work draws on the visual language of painting, looking to the immersive late canvases of Claude Monet, and to the gestural energy of the Abstract Expressionists.
The title is from Archibald MacLeish’s poem An Eternity from 1917:
There is no dusk to be,
There is no dawn that was,
Only there's now, and now,
And the wind in the grass.
The following editions are available in Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. Each print is signed, dated and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
28 x 17.5 Inches/ 71.1 x 44.5 cm Edition of 10 (2 inch/ 5.1cm white border): £300 plus VAT
